It happens to all of us. You wake up one day and say to yourself, "self, my computer is way too slow." You realize that you've been wasting time idling by while the CPU is crunching away, opening something like Microsoft Word. Seconds tick by. You sit and wait.
Or maybe you are realizing how long you're sitting there, waiting to connect to the internet to read wonderfully written articles like this one. There has to be a faster way to get online to the information superhighway than the long waits and busy signals. You need to be more efficient. Your time is worth too much.
There are lots of ways to make your computer run faster that don't involve buying a brand new computer. Some of these are a:
These are not for the faint of heart, though. While many do-it-yourselfers attempt upgrading hardware, upgrading software or upgrading operating systems, this can and often does result in a big beige box that can be used as a doorstop.
